This is the opening line to an entertaining look at my lifelong addiction to Diet Coke. The stories are entirely fictitious, written in the style of a memoir. I bring the reader on an enjoyable and humorous journey from my humble roots as the seventh of eight children, through my twenty year military career, my entrepreneurial phase, all the way to my mid-life crisis career change from junior executive to park ranger and the role Diet Coke played at every stage. The books concept is ridiculous and absurd, creating an undeniable curiosity for the reader. Right out of the gate the reader is caught off guard by the seriousness of the title, “My Life as a Coke Addict”, yet it is in the humor section. Throughout the book, I treat my love of the carbonated concoction of pure pleasure as a true addiction, only occasionally alluding to the ridiculousness of my passion.

Purchased this book as part of a gift for a Diet Coke addict and it was a hit. Hilariously written, we had a good time flipping through it that morning. It's pretty substantial for a gag gift but not too long. Keep in mind it is fictional (some facts are true!), so don't take it too seriously. It's pretty much a big joke.Product details

Very entertaining- enjoyed the author's sense of humor and easy writing style.I would certainly recommend reading this very amusing book!
I bought it for my wife (a diet coke addict) for Christmas, she said "she just couldn't get through the book - it had no direction and just wasn't very funny." I gave it an extra star because, like the author, I also worked on the I C B M team (he'd understand).

Great satirical book that I bought as a gift. I have heard my partner scoff and laugh at the material inside. And they would recommend it for any of the avid Diet Coke drinkers.
A fun, easy to read book. I laughed often at the continuous and ridiculous antics this addict would do to get a Coke, and the pure pleasure experienced when indulging in that “carbonated concoction”. I came across addicts of all sorts while reading this book (coffee, coke, chocolates, and a few unmentionables) and each of them had similar stories about what they had done, or were willing to do, to get the fix of their choice. A great read for any addict or their enabler.
As a self-proclaimed Diet Coke addict for more than 20 years, even I'm not as bad as the author. But... don't mess with my Diet Coke!
